STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

Dear Julia:  I’m in shock today because the workshop has concluded.  It has been so good for me in so many ways.  Without your teaching skills and dedicated energy I would not have participated, so thank you again for a fantastic experience.  I value the results of the workshop and recital.  [My husband] loved it too!     ~ Victoria

Dear Julia:  Thank you so much for teaching me.  You have been an inspiration to me and it was a pleasure to be taught by such a good dancer.  I learned a lot.  Your student,     ~Olivia (age 11)

Julia, you are a great teacher – you execute even the simplest movement with such grace.  Thank you for your patience!  Hope to take more classes from you in the future.      ~Holly

Thank you Julia for teaching us the patada de bulerías.  It was lots of fun!  I realized how much I miss taking your classes.  Hope I can study with you again shortly….     ~ Yumiko

Julia Chacon is a compassionate and thorough teacher...technique and choreography is sublime.     ~ Jana Peterson

Julia Chacon is amazing! Her connection to the rhythms of flamenco is truly divine. I could not be more blessed to have an instructor with so much enthusiasm, energy, and patience. Her stage presence and technique is incredible and her choreography reflects creativity and true understanding of the marvelous art of flamenco. She is a beautiful performer and a fabulous teacher!      ~ Isabel Dellinger

You must know how I appreciate your great flamenco technique class. You've pushed us to be better & stronger dancers. Because of it, my taconeo & brazeo have definitely improved. I've grown to be much more confident when I dance. I'm looking forward to the next class. Olé.      ~ Gloria

Julia Chacon not only shines on the stage, but also in the classroom. As a performer her passionate dancing is of the finest I have seen. She has incredible accuracy and searing stage presence. In the classroom, she is very patient and extremely positive. I have watched her consistently bring out the best in her students. She instills the perfect combination of confidence and beauty in each dancer. I have learned from ballet that the passion of the dance comes from technique. In Julia's style of Flamenco instruction, the technique flows from the passion of the dancer. Julia is able to connect with each student's source of passion to create a natural yearning to master the technical foundations. Viva la gitana, and viva Julia!      ~ Maya Magdalana

Hey girl! I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate having you as a teacher as well as a friend. Your dancing style captures the essence of true flamenco and it has been a wonderful experience trying to mimic your every move.      ~ Sandra Perez
